Mahomes and Andy have trouble adjusting to different D schemes. Cover 2 shell through him for a loop for a month or so. Dropping 8 confused the hell out of him. I don’t know why they couldn’t run against a 3 man front.

They could have. They did this against Tennessee in the AFCCG in 2019. Ran 10 out of the 13 plays they were dropping 8. We needed a grind it out, eat up the clock drive like that but Andy for one reason or another just wouldn't commit to it like he did then.

Here is the problem I think the Bengals presented. I'd have to watch the game to know for sure, but if they were presenting a four-man front and dropping one of the ends into coverage, preferably the flat, that is very hard to account for.

You might not check into a run against that at all, especially if there are guys down in the box presnap.

Then they shift the back end coverage and drop both safeties out at the snap. Now you have a Cover 2 shell with a guy covering the flat who was playing D-line. So you can't just automatically check it down.

So against that kind of wrinkle, Patrick ends up holding the ball.

Will be an interesting week in film review. But now we know what we'll see next season, and will be prepared.

Teams are going to drop eight.

Eventually, they are going to drop NINE. Because Mahomes is just that good.

The plethora of missed calls completely changed the game. Apparently the nfl wanted to bengals in the superbowl. I'd say I'm surprised, but the amount of money that Vegas made today' with the chiefs loss makes complete sense.
