I'm not doing too hot

I'm not handling this one so well.

This one is shades of 1995 or 1997 for me.

Listen, it's real damned hard to win a SB.

I think this team got a little arrogant and entitled.

It's time to reshuffle the deck some, and as long as we draft well, I think the organization can be better for having gone through this.

My feeling is we'll see more of the Buffalo game than the 2nd half of this one, but who knows.

If you look at that list of QBs it has had some questionable/outdated coaching involved and some truly awful FO performances in the draft (Packers the last few years for example). That could be us, but if we keep getting Boltons and Creeds we could be challenging for a decade.

I'm naturally a glass half empty guy but I really think we're OK. If we draft well compared to these other teams, we're good.
I would think he gets another but I am aware of how hard it is and looking at my list, which is obviously not every great QB to "only" win one, it's probably more likely (strictly odds wise) that he does not win another. I don't look at any of those guy's careers as failures (kinda Rodgers I suppose but he brings that on himself with his attitude and complaining). Hell, for the sake of this discussion, even P. Manning "only" won one with the Colts. For the fans sake, that's what matters. If, God forbid, Patrick went elsewhere later in his career, I certainly wouldn't care if he won another SB there. So, yeah, it's hard to win the Super Bowl, is the point. I agree we'll be okay, and I can absolutely see a Big Ben type run with Patrick where we don't have any losing seasons during his time. We should usually be in the mix ,which will give him a shot at that second title here.

We'll be back next year.

The better team won yesterday. It's just that simple.

This week : score a TD in OT, and don’t turn the ball over with an awesome offense. We still have a solid core, great coaching (despite its inconsistencies), a great GM, and one of the best teams in the league.

Brady and the Pats has really made it difficult for other fans to enjoy their success. I doubt anyone will ever see the success they had, and it makes the fans of the other 31 teams think it’s easy to continuously be in and win SB’s. We won one 2 years ago, went back last year, and were a horrible second half away from it again. Mahomes is a bad ass, but the Patriots run on SB’s likely will never be seen again. It’s gonna be a rough day or 2 for most of us, but this isn’t our last hurrah. The future is bright, despite how dark it is tonight. One Love CP. I’m going to sleep this off.
Hell, the Patriots' Super Bowl runs basically came in two different segments.

For a whole decade, they only made two Super Bowls and lost both.

I don't think they were the better team they just took a chance by dropping 8 back in coverage and taking away Hill and Kelce... You would think rushing only 3 consistently would have opened the run game or enabled PM to run even if they had a spy on him. Bangles went into the locker room and decided to play opposite in than they did in the first half and figured if they failed they would have lost either way. I appreciate teams that will abandon a game plan if they are having no success.

It's telling that Raiders and Patriot fans have come to this forum with this type of perspective since the loss.

JFC some of you act like someone f'n died. Yes, it was a bad loss, and no, the Chiefs window has not closed. Criminy, you're not going to the SB every GD year. Get the **** over it and move on with life; the players certainly are.

It's no secret how to beat the Chiefs on paper but actually doing it is another thing. If the Chiefs played 5 times in a row they would probably beat them 4 times out of the 5. You guys lost because you did not punish them when they were only rushing 3, a couple good 20 yard rips and the dropping of 8 would have gone away quickly. They could have also decided regardless, they would rather be beat in the running game than big chunks down the field to TK and TH. Chiefs still have the best QB in the league even if the way he trots on the field looks like he has a little sugar in the tank.

This was classic Andy Reid. Have to take the good with the bad. Anyone shocked at this loss, at least the way it happened, hadn't been paying attention.

Same. I'm very angry. And sad. And annoyed. I hate that something I can't control does this to me. But the flip side of love and happiness is anger, hate, and sadness.

Yeah, that result sucked. I am very disappointed. But in the end, this is the team that we have seen this season. They really turned out to be who we thought they were. Need a few roster changes to fix some things. They also could used some coaching (or consulting?) on how to handle the way defenses play them. But the future is still very bright for this team so don't fret about it.

In the end, it's just a game. Find something else in your every day life (family, games, music, etc.) that you can turn to and just look forward. For me, I get to go to Florida next week and enjoy the warm sunshine. And, of course, I will focus a little more on my music.

The wife also has some projects for me. Oh wait......I said focus on the positive.

Exactly. I mean, we know Patrick isn't going to win the superbowl every year. And when he doesn't, it doesn't make him any less awesome.

It's total first world problems. Awww, you're upset your team didn't go to THREE superbowls in a row?

Keep in mind guys, there are friends, family, fans worldwide who have lived, and died, NEVER seeing their team win a championship.

Appreciate what you have, and get a ****ing smile on your face when you think about the future here.

Cincy defense has done a hell of a job in all 3 playoff games. You’re correct that they deserve a lot of credit for the halftime adjustments.
