Never been a better time to be a chiefs fan

Today's loss sucked. a lot.

But the sweet prospect of success on any given weekend, playoffs included, makes being a fan of the team and the sport a lot more enjoyable than it was the last couple of decades. Ive been a fan since 95, a serious fan since '05. Doesn't make me a veteran by any means - there are people here and elswhere that would consider me a (clueless) noob. But i have vivid memories of Pioli being weird in the front office, of Haley having to yell at Croyle because he'd forgotton to snap the ball, and for the depth at QB to be such that people were enthusiastically campaigning for Damon Huard to be given the starting job. I used to wake up monday morning, check the scores, roll my eyes at the chiefs score and go back to bed. They were very rarely on TV here as we really only get the main CBS game, the main FOX game and the Sunday/Monday night games. Now, I wake up to watch them as they are usually playing in one of those games!

The team got within a couple of plays of being eliminated earlier (last week), and a couple of plays of making the SB. There's not much more you can ask for as a sports fan. Mistakes were made. Next season, different mistakes will be made.

Go chiefs!

It looked like someone dropped a hit of acid in his gaterade bottle the way he was spinning around in circles and throwing crazy offtarget passes .

Or maybe someone dropped a hit of acid in my whiskey drinks last night and I am now spinning around in circles throwing dumb thoughts around on CP

Two years ago was a better time. Team has regressed and has holes tougher to fill. Schedule is brutal. Others have ascended. Allen, Burrow, Herbert, probably Rodgers. Conference is a gauntlet. Chiefs and Bills still on top but NFC now a joke by comparison, and as we've seen just a couple small errors can end the season when the competition is this close.

Have to keep perspective that this is what Brady did all his years in NE. He won then lost 1 or 2 years, then won again. He wasn’t winning Super Bowls every year.

We made the afc championship team and played two outstanding teams into OT. In a year where all of us felt we were just trying to get through it. We know that when veach sees a problem he actively works to fix it. We weren’t meant to be a balanced game. Priority 1 is to make our offense dominate again and get their swagger back. We aren’t far away. Second priority is to shake up the coaching staff. I don’t know what you do with bieniemy but it’s probably in the teams best knterest to have him step down so we can bring some new ideas in from the bottom. With whatever resources left, use on defense.

This season was our offense at its worst. And that’s pretty damn good. Meantime, mahomes has grown a ton. And a world class coaching staff and front office know how to fix this and just need to get to work.
