You make a great point that has bothered me about this offseason.

All I’m hearing is how racist the NFL is because Flores and Culley got fired, and no black HCs have been hired, but not a peep about Poles and Kwesi getting GM jobs. IIRC, there were a couple minority hires for GM jobs last year too, or at least one.

They ignore everything that doesn’t fit the narrative.

And one other thing, Ryan Poles not even giving EB an interview completely destroyed this racism narrative in regards to him not getting a HC job.

His situation clearly goes well beyond that.

Kwesi didn’t give him an interview either.

Obviously tanking for the Draft is a big part of it. But the owner has ties to a sports gambling company. He's trying to pay his coach to lose, and it wouldn't shock me if he's betting on his team to lose every game so he can make profits on that.

Yes., but how many others have done the same thing? Have officials been bribed as well to reach a result? That would certainly explain some things...This opens a HUGE can of worms...much more than a race card accusations

But it would immediately put you on the warm seat with bears fans. That’s one hell of a risk. I don’t think it’s a good example. Not a good first impression if he was promising pretty much more of the same.
