Again, showing you do not know what you are talking about. Fitz won a total of 9 games during his time in Miami. Tua has won 13 games in Miami.

Flores record is 24-25. Of three seasons in Miami, a team that the owner supposedly wanted to lose as many games as possible, Flores has 1 losing season.

I was referring moreso to OTWP, so I guess “they” wasn’t appropriate.

And he didn’t actually say that, but what other conclusion could you possibly come to?

Maybe you have a Government Job, but in the real world Production is everything. 24-25 is subpar especially when that includes 6 games against the Jets. Fitz won games they should have lost making his record look better than it is. But by all means believe its the "Racist Man" and his "Token GM" who wanted to lose. Talk about fairy tales.

Come on man.....did you read that before you posted it?

You made a blanket statement so that it sounded like everyone who is arguing that there is racist shit going on in the hiring process argued that Poles was a token GM.

Then backtracked on they to a single person.

Then agreed that he didn't actually say that.

The more appropriate question is, if you know that black players are driving the success of the nfl then any team should find it very alarming that their leadership is extraordinarily unrepresentative. Again, we are not talking about a few % points here. We are talking about an enormous imbalance.

Teams should be motivated to do this. Because it ensures you’re not excluding great talent and as many other sports have figured out, former players tend to connect better with locker rooms. This should be happening organically and it flat out isn’t.

You must be the one with the government job as you have reading comprehension issues. You keep giving credit to Fitz yet Flores has a better record in games that Fitz did not play in.

Flores has one losing season out of 3 seasons, his first season. And it is not like he took over a quality team.

Alex wittingham isn’t family but he may as well be. He’s there because Reid is close friends with his dad. Adam Zimmer for crying out loud was for some reason calling plays in Minnesota. How many more were brought in because of who they know which, based on leadership structures, has been largely white.

You look at how Kyle shanahan got started. Gruden invited him to be a special assistant almost right out of college. Same with mcvay whose dad worked in the front office. hundreds of these positions are absorbed simply because they knew somebody. As the saying goes, some grow up on first base and you’d have to think many black athletes don’t have that luxury. These network hires don’t have to scrape through thankless admin jobs at a college football program. And in many cases, like with Stephen bellichick and Adam zimmer, they’re fast tracked to the top.
Well, that is how most of those coaches get their starts. They quit playing after college, become unpaid or poorly compensated graduate assistants and then grinding. Some guys, white and black, do stop playing after a good NFL career and immediately find a good gig. But most of the greatest coaches in NFL history were marginal players. (Outside of the best player coaches in the 1920s but the HC in that era was basically a glorified captain.)

Kirk Herbstreit when asked years ago about this problem said the best way to solve it is have more black players immediately try to become graduate assistants once their playing careers are kaput.

Is there some nepotism and networking involved? No crap. Every industry has that. Once black coaches become more numerous in the profession, you will see the same thing happen with them. Human beings are tribal creatures.

“Even though Ryan Poles reportedly demanded control of the coaching hire and got it, and Poles himself told us that he got HIS guy, I’m going to believe there’s a possibility that he wasn’t allowed to hire EB or a black guy if he wanted to”

Again, what other conclusion could I come to?

I forgot that you were the other one arguing hence “they”, but you’ve already made it clear that you don’t believe race is the issue with EB, hence me backtracking on that.

The dude doesn't understand it is a copycat league and people try to copy success.

It is prominent in the CFB level. SEC schools for decades hired Bear Bryant assistants hoping to equal the master. Same deal with Saban.

Then you're doing the same thing that he is.

He believes that there's a chance that Bienemy wasn't allowed to interview but didn't say that is what happened.

You believe that he meant something even though he didn't out right say it.

OTWP has been talking out of both sides of his mouth this entire ****ing thread, so yea, you kind of have to read between the lines.

Bienemy not getting a job could be any number of things.

1. His checkered history.
2. His attitude.
3. His perceived lack of play calling.

But I’m not going to sit here and deny that there might be one owner who doesn’t want him because of the color of his skin. Nothing is absolute. Teams could not like him for a number of different reasons and it could be any of those listed above combined.

I’m not either. I just don’t believe it to be the Bears who just hired a black GM and had Lovie Smith for almost a decade.

Maybe you should realize just because you can play a sport doesn't mean you can coach the sport.
