No, because the player side evaluation is rigorous and transparent. Hell, they put combines in full public view. Teams are held accountable for those decisions. Every draft pick is scrutinized. And if pioli wants to bring his pet qb in he sinks or swims with that decision.

Same level of accountability doesn’t exist in front offices. Look at how long the dumbasses in Washington got away with blatant lack of accountability. People are looking at the top but they’re not looking at the bottom. Who’s getting these entry level scouting and coaching or administration positions? Nobody pays attention to it. And so you’re seeing tons of legacy hires and guys who get jobs because of their last name. Looking at the pool of coaches available do you really think we’re getting the best of the best? I’d say that ignoring a demographic that has a very high degree of experience is a big miss and a contributor to that.

Funny thing is you know that Bill is thrilled to see Daboll leave his division. Even if Bill doesn't think Daboll will be great with the top job it eliminates a very good offensive mind from his top rival.

If you believe there are simply not Black candidates as worthy of the job - at all levels, apparently - then you think of it as “affirmative action” and special treatment. Ignoring that you are racist in your initial thinking that Black candidates simply aren’t as qualified as White ones, then you still have the problem of seeing a move towards fair and equitable hiring practices as negative. These candidates are getting special treatment that take away from a qualified White candidate!

It is a way of brainwashing to view the advancement of minorities as negative and the protection of white dominance as positive.

I remember watching a segment about the NBA having a similar problem when it comes to white European players.

How's your career going since leaving your cushy show on FOX Sports, Whitlock? Bet you'd take that non-pay increase now, wouldn't you?

You can attack the messenger all you want, but he makes some great points.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross ran the “blackest” organization in the NFL. At one time, his head coach, general manager, assistant general manager, defensive coordinator, and several members of his ownership group were all black.

Brian Flores’ accusations against Ross could get Ross removed from NFL ownership. Flores claims Ross offered him money to lose games in 2019 and that Ross tried to arrange an illegal meeting with a veteran quarterback under contract to another team.

Flores is a snitch. He snitched on the owner who followed the social justice/Black Lives Matter playbook.

Whitlock has the worst take ever. Ross is getting snitched on for trying to bribe his head coach to throw games, which is actually illegal, and because he tried to get his coach to tamper with a pending FA quarterback which is against the rules. Race doesn't have anything to do with Ross being in trouble.

Looking at the coaches being hired and the coaches NOT being hired seems very obvious that black coaches aren't given the same opportunities as white coaches and that includes not getting the same amount of time before they are fired. I don't see how people can look at what's going on objectively and not reach that same conclusion.

Funnily enough though, the Rooney rule is actually hurting Flores' case right now. It would actually be easier and provide less cover to the owners if there was no Rooney rule because Flores and everyone else could point to black coaches not even being given interviews. But with the Rooney rule, owners can just say "oh well we interviewed them, we want to hire them, but they just had bad interviews. The Rooney rule is a CYA for owners to be able to not hire black coaches without repercussions

Literally nobody said that race has anything to do with Ross being in trouble.

If you don’t see the irony in taking down the most pro black owner in the NFL while you’re simultaneously accusing the NFL of racism, then I don’t know what to tell you.
