Race doesn't have anything to do with Ross being in trouble.

Looking at the coaches being hired and the coaches NOT being hired seems very obvious that black coaches aren't given the same opportunities as white coaches and that includes not getting the same amount of time before they are fired. I don't see how people can look at what's going on objectively and not reach that same conclusion.

Funnily enough though, the Rooney rule is actually hurting Flores' case right now. It would actually be easier and provide less cover to the owners if there was no Rooney rule because Flores and everyone else could point to black coaches not even being given interviews. But with the Rooney rule, owners can just say "oh well we interviewed them, we want to hire them, but they just had bad interviews. The Rooney rule is a CYA for owners to be able to not hire black coaches without repercussions
Point is he's snitching on him. Not a smart move by Ross in firing Flores, since he had dirt on him. Or maybe he figured Flores wouldn't rat him out.

We don't like snitches where I come from. You remember what happened to Big Pussy?

Whitlock is simply pointing out that in taking down Ross, he’s probably taking down the owner giving more black people opportunity than the rest, which could lead to even fewer opportunities for black coaches/FO members.

The irony is priceless.

The Dolphins could have avoided their problems by drafting Herbert over Tua.

I have zero idea if Whitlock is right and really don't care. He probably isn't but I do know this much in my time on this Earth. Billion dollar corporations care ultimately about one thing. Money. The NFL doesn't really care about the color of skin the HC's have unless it affects their profits. If it's bad for business then it will be changed so profits stay the way they want. Media has been bitching for years about the lack of black HC's and the league didn't care because their bottom line is not affected. When it is affected then they will care.

I don't think Flores is a liar nor do I think Hue is a liar but unless the lawsuit costs the league a shit ton of money nothing will change and unless the government pulls their anti-trust exclusion the rules won't change. Owners will hire who they want, fire who they want and how they want for damn near any reason.

I still find it amazing that the NFL defeated Covid. Not a single word about it since the playoffs were set. Like I said , money. Now like magic nobody is sick.

Don't forget Flores is shitting on Bellichick who originally hired him who he worked for for 15 years and helped him get the HC job in Miami.

Hue Jackson has already been proven to be full of shit. He went on ESPN and made a fool of himself because what he said was bullshit.

His claims he was paid to lose were really "The roster was so bad it couldn't win" and "they used stuff like analytics that didn't help winning".

If you don’t see the irony in taking down the most pro black owner in the NFL while you’re simultaneously accusing the NFL of racism, then I don’t know what to tell you.
Besides Flores and his legal team. They did accuse Ross of racism by portraying Flores as an angry black man.

Just start forcing the team who finishes last in the NFL to hire a black head coach. That'll teach em to throw games on purpose.
