I made up my mind 6 weeks ago that MLB had no intention of playing games in April and nothing I've seen so far has deterred me on that point, so you're right about that much.

Both of these sides are very clearly determined to extend this longer.

Had the players accepted any number of exceedingly fair offers the owners have made especially over the last week or so, we’d have baseball in April.

Exceedingly fair for who? The owners are fighting over relative pennies for them at this point. If they wanted the season to start on time, it would be starting on time.

The owners sat on their hands for months by not even making an offer to MLBPA, and are now fighting aggressively over distinctions that will make an almost miniscule difference in terms of their overall business.

It doesn't take a lot to figure out why.
