Spend a 1st round pick on Roger McCreary or sign this piece of shit with the same raw talent off the scrap heap?

I mean why not? The national media still holds Hunt against us and I guess Mike Florio quit sportswriting or some shit because Tyreek Hill broke his sons arm.

Yep. 80% of the league hates us anyways. Might as well lean into that whole “bad guy” thing.

Who SUCKED.

I would have had no real problem with the fact that he’s going to kill someone some day if he want a truly god awful football player.

Gladney might actually be good. He might suck, sure. But we’re don’t know that yet.

Gladney vs Arnette is a no-brainer.

Teams need to stop jumping the gun and let the legal process take place. Vikings lost a 1st round draft pick for nothing. Idiots lol

Bert probably just hung up the phone with his agent. Would be shocked if he is not a chief by tomorrow. I wanted him badly the year he got drafted.

I kinda expect him to sign with us. Chance to start/play major time…winning team…top notch coaches….great young team…has a history of coaching up CBS.

He would be a fool to not sign with KC if we have any interest.

NFL teams are also a multi dollar business with tons of advertising and other things that hurt the business side when they get bad press. So, I understand why teams do it. These are employees.

The reason Veach/Andy buy more lottery tickets than anyone is because they have a rep for winning (the ultimate medicine) and helping troubled players (going back to Philly for Andy. Ie Mike Vick)

I expect them to sign Gladney. Makes too much sense not to.

I’m sure Veach had/has a very high grade on him. No brainer to sign him, at this point. For both sides, it makes tons of sense.

Not Guilty...so what's the problem? Sign this dude...it can't hurt. You can always have clauses in the contract and cut him if he sucks.

Yeah, I just want to know about the first rounders that have busted elsewhere and then panned out. And not just with the Chiefs either really.

I can name several chiefs who would be considered reclamation or scrap heap players who have been contributors but I can't think of very many 1st rounders who get cut then have a productive second career.

I agree with your last two sentences. I'm not saying not to bring him in for a look to kick the tires, just that expectations should be real low as should the contract amount.

Yup. There is 0 risk to signing Gladney this seems to be like a Veach special. Arnette, Baker, Hughes, etc all had some "issues" this definitely won't scare him away from Gladney. I'd have to go back and check but weren't we interested in Gladney coming out for the draft? You sign Gladney for the low, re-sign Ward, spend for your veteran safety and you arguably have a better secondary than you did last year.
