Who hasn’t taken a hard line on Tyreek not being traded?

The revisionist history here is astounding.

None of us thought Tyreek would/should be traded.

None of us knew he would/could get 30 mil per.

Things change with new information.

I was wrong that he wouldn’t get traded. I’m sure most would’ve agreed. So what?

Nick Athan has more inside info, and it's not particularly close.

I’m surprised it happened, but it needed to. I’m not happy we did (because I want to have him), but it’s the right move. Similar comp to Adams as I hoped.

This gives us picks and cap space. Giving Hill the contract he signed is too many eggs in one basket with a high paid QB.

Again, where are all the people that thought Tyreek would be traded?

The only person that gets to stick their chest out here is Hog, who I just apologized to.

He was still under contract. It did not need to happen now. Just as things changed, so could they have done so the other way. Use the tag if need be next year. Tyreek is not just some good player, he's special. You find a way to keep those players. IMO, KC should have played out this season with Reek and looked at this next year.

would he have played for what he agreed too (I think he should have honored his contract btw) or would he have become a distraction?

I am reading he would have sat out if not given a new contract. It seems the front office mo is to get rid of distractions.

It sucks. If he stumbles there his shot at the Hof also does.

He deserves the money. Get what you can get for your family. But damn thought he would of taken a little less to stay here.
