Veach smartly doesn’t put a premium on CB’s… so it’s unlikely they are using a first round pick on CB (especially when they just need a nickel CB/depth with Fenton/Sneed set as the starters).

The draft is deep in edge rushers so trade up to draft the position that is harder to find in lower rounds… WR1.

Yes you can get quality WR depth in the later rounds, but WR1 specifically needs to be addressed with a high draft pick.

This is my thoughts too from watching him a bunch. I hate this signing. The only pro I can see is that we can get out after two years. It's bad enough that I already want him cut and we haven't even seen him play yet.

Of course we'll see but this isn't a great signing in my opinion.
