These incentives - if earned - will be paid the following year.

Your argument is about the cap this year and how JuJu+MVS+Clark = what we would've paid Hill this year.

Hence, this is relevant to the argument.

Yes, they do. Because the cap goes up each year. So paying a player 10mm in year 1 with the cap at 100mm (10%) is different from paying 10mm in year 5 with the cap at 150mm (6.7%).

And the entire point was that it's difficult to fill out a roster THIS season if we're paying Hill.

Hill was on the books for 2022 at $21M - highest cap hit for any WR in the league.

He was cost-prohibitive even before his new deal.

The reality contract numbers are 2 years 18 million for MVS and 4 years 95 million for Tyreek. 9mil a year vs. 23 mil a year. If you think Tyreek is at least 2x better than MVS, then he's 100% the right move.
