The first two rounds are shaping up to be able to remake our defensive line and WR room in one fell swoop, and passing that up to take one guy would go against everything we've done this offseason. |

I said it yesterday - it's not only counterproductive, it's counterintuitive. |

In fairness to C Watson, Ledyard’s ranking should probably give him more of an incomplete grade.
Ledyard admits that Watson “hails from a run-heavy NDSU” saying that the he did not get many chances in a less competitive conference/division (Missouri Valley in the FCS) vs the FBS. But when he did get the touches, he went “absolutely nuts” and also showed up big time at the senior bowl to show he can perform at the higher level of competition. Looking at Watson’s resume: - 9.96 overall RAS (4.36 40…better than Tyreek at 4.39)! - Height 6’5”!! - 20.4 YPCatch / 8.0 YPCarry - Reportedly a good route runner with great footwork and ball tracking ability - Reportedly has some issues with drops which is definitely concerning Bottom line for me…Reid, Veach and staff have earned trust enough to vet him out. I’m certainly a fan of him at the 50 spot.

I think it depends what we do in FA, which I suppose is obvious and works across the board. If we sign another WR in FA or secure via a trade then yes, moving up would be odd. But if noone else comes in and we're swinging for an immediate contributor, which we'll need, at 50 or 62 I don't think that's smart. By all means don't move up, and I'm not saying there's going to be great options at 29, but I'm not keen on waiting until the second round.
