My boys are 18 months apart. The oldest is 16 and a sophomore in high school. I have already started worrying about the day my wife and I become empty nesters when they both head off to college.

Wait until the day they actually move out.

My wife and I have had more quality time in the last few months than we've had in probably 20 years.

Is it better? Can't really say that. I miss my daughter a lot of days. But the trade-off is definitely fun.

IMO it's something to look forward to, because that's usually when you start getting along with them better.

Same. This board is showing its age again, Son's moving to New York City in June. It's been a couple of decades but, looking forward to being just us as it was in the beginning.
