Eh. In context, he's pushing back against the "I'm a bad bitch" stuff, a cultural norm that he finds unhelpful and contrary to the good examples he saw growing up. At the core, not a very controversial opinion.

This is a general problem in society, that some people now think having an intemperate personality is a virtue.

Cam has phrased an important notion in language that will cause people not to focus on it, but on the un-PC nature in which he couched it. You could say he fumbled away a chance to make a good point.
