I remember when people said the Chiefs were nuts for what they gave Mahomes. I knew it would eventually look like a bargain, but didn't think it would happen so quickly. It's already a steal.

I said it was a bargain as soon as the ink dried. Everyone else was going to have to pay insane amounts of money for inferior players.

I know I can't say this with a strait face

Derek Carr NLF record 56-70 and a playoff loss

Here's where it gets really funny

HC Josh McDaniel's HC record 11-17 losing record from the Broncos

I don't think HC Josh McDaniel's is all of a sudden going be a good HC and certainly Derek Carr is going be the same Derek Carr just more coin in his pocket. Raiders are going really be in cap hell after next year when they have to pay the piper.

Matthew Stafford is 86-95-1. With some of those wins coming last year off his SB win. A new coach and a good defense did him well.

McDaniel's runs a similar offense that Carr ran in 2016 which he performed well in. I don't think they will be an easy out and McDaniel's will have this team prepared along with expectations.

McDaniel's 11-17 record was a learning process for him. He came in after a long termed head coach in Shanahan was running that team like a country club. That team started off 6-0 and the wheels fell off as the vet players who weren't used to the patriot way quickly tired of McDaniel's. I'm thinking he learned a thing or two over the decade since he's been the Broncos coach.

Mathew Stafford played for the Detroit Lions he earned all his wins. He never would have won a Championship staying in Detroit. Kudos for him to win SB.

This is like when Chiefs gave Matt Cassell all that money thinking if you give him franchise money he will play like a franchise quarterback.

Now I know he has a new target and I'm sure the Raiders will be better this year but they ain't winning the division best is second best but they will have Chargers and Denver to contend with and then us that have the best Quarterback and Coach tandem in then NFL. I'm still laughing at their deal and I'm still laughing they hired Josh McDaniels. I'm really laughing in a couple years when they pay Davante Adams and some of their other big splash FA stars that will fizzle out.

I would rank the Chiefs substantially higher than the Raiders on my list of preferred National Football League teams

Right. Take less money overall on a shorter deal, win Super Bowl with fantastic stats and THEN rape some stupid team like the Raiders for big money knowing they don't have a chance in hell.

Why do people hate Mahomes' contract again? (when I say people I mean non-Chiefs fans)

Is it the $500M number? Do they really think we overpaid this guy? Cause every single year opposing fans say we're in cap hell and every single year we prove them wrong and are in the playoffs.

People obsess over TCV and ACV instead of actually looking at the contract numbers.

Yep. The fact is that the contract is so unique compared to any other deal the NFL has seen before, so none of these chucklewits understand or care to learn more about it because that would require time, effort, and... you know... reporting.

I know there are the troll fans that go, "Chiefs have a hole in the roster? If Mahomes weren't so greedy they could go fill it with a free agent" but I see that kind of thinking among analysts, too. "Uh oh here comes the expensive Mahomes years! Now it's coming! Now it's happening! Cut everybody on the team!"

Can't wait until we get into the "expensive" part of the deal and Mahomes still has lower cap numbers than Dak, Rodgers, Watson, Allen, and possibly even a guy like Cousins if he keeps gouging the Vikings.
