As for the wheelbase, the SS has a 90 inch wheelbase on a 156 inch car; wheelbase is roughly 58% of the vehicle length. And at 90 inches long vs. 68 inches wide, it's roughly 1/3 longer than it is wide. The GTO has a 112 inch wheelbase on a 201 inch car; 56% of the vehicle's length. And at 75 inches wide vs. 201 inches long, being 50% longer than it is wide gives it worse stability while cornering. But yes, 770 horses shoved into a 1 ton vehicle is a tad more powerful than you absolutely need for merging at highway speeds. And THAT sir, is what makes this a runaway winner here.
