Less commonly mocked players you could see KC targeting

This is mostly about small trade ups, looking at names in the early 20s. We've seen JW plenty. Maybe a DE.

The guy who made me think of this is Olave. Another could be London. Or Jordan Davis.

The point is simply considering some names outside of the same old same old. Obviously OT or LB would be a shock.

Olave and London are busts in my opinion so I hope not.

I could see Roger McCreary, or Jaquan Brisker or Jordan Davis or even George Karlaftis or Nakobe Dean which would be completely crazy unless this happens

I'd take George Karlaftis and Nakobe Dean at 29/30 and be happy

I mean it would be crazy, I have Nakobe Dean as a top ten player but he's essentially the same guy as Nick Bolton isn't he?

I don't know that we'll trade up for him, but I think Jaquan Brisker is a definite possibility, and I wouldn't hate it.

I don't know about going up and getting guys in the early 20's. I just don't think there's a guy they'd go get outside of a DE.

I do agree that Olave would be the highest potential guy. I think he's a guy that's very similar to Jeremy Maclin for Reid.

Penning, if he somehow makes it to 18, I think Veach would give up 62 to go get that kid but I just don't see him selling the farm to go way up unless there's something we don't know with the OBJ situation.

As far as guys I think are in play at 29/30...
OT Tyler Smith, Tulsa - He probably doesn't play much this year unless there's injury, and you hate to see that with a 1st round pick, but this kid needs alot of work with technique and hand placement that I don't know you can coach out of him in pre-season. That said he's got the potential to be really, really good if and when he learns it. He could be LT of the future or he could be a RT, and KC doesn't have anyone locked down at those spots.

FS Jalen Pitre, Baylor - Ultra-high football IQ and student of the game with phenomenal athleticism. He fits the Mathieu role perfectly as a terror defending the slot. If you're a guy into those players that can be "multiple" and let you morph your defense on the fly, then this is a guy I'd be cheering hard for.

I haven't seen Bernhard Raimann mocked to the Chiefs. He's not someone we would trade up for into the 20s, but I could understand the pick at 29/30 if the front office is worried about RT and they love the guy. He's an ultra-mobile prospect that could help in the screen game

Raimann could develop into a starting LT by most projections. With all of the pass rush talent added during free agency by the other AFC West teams (Bills too), I wouldn't be shocked if they address it right away.

Other possibilities I haven't seen mocked at 29/30:
Roger McCreary
Jaquan Brisker

A lot of the guys we could realistically trade up into the 20s to get are already being mocked to the Chiefs anyway.

Any of the top-4 offensive tackles. Seems unlikely to most but my reasoning is located here as well as here and goes more in depth. Wouldn't be much of a shock at all, to be perfectly honest.
