Didn't think of it till now but there's some great irony in the NFL sending out the man of the year award winner to announce a guy that has been accused of DV multiple times as a first round pick.

You know who didn't do a good job today in the draft? The Donkies and Raiders
Hosting the event and Raiders get no picks till round 3 pick 86. That's pretty funny and they are going have to pay Devante Adams a boat load of cap money and Sneed can shut him down with Reid behind him. Carr is going be on his back a lot with Karlaftis chasing him. Looks like McDuffie can cover a lot of ground quick he looks quick. I'm pretty stoked. Chargers got a guard won't make any difference. Donks don't get to pick till last pick of round 2. All the moves AFC West made to compete we just killed it in one day. They gave up draft picks for players and going have to pay the price that eats the cap space and we gave up a high price player for extra picks and bolstered our defense and got younger. We still need a WR and work on the DL but there is still plenty Verch can do in this draft.

I feel validated. Part of the point in trading up for Williams was the drop in wr from tier 1 to tier 2. As soon as they started getting picked, all of the top wrs got picked and then no more wr picks in the first. Huge drop off from the first WR group to the 2nd. Jameson just went too high. You were right about that and many of us who wanted to trade for him didn’t want to give that much capital to move that high. I think his rehab was going to well to fast for him to drop like the dt Simmons did to the titans. If his rehab went a little slower, who knows, maybe he slides and we move up to 21 and get him.

What's pretty clear is the Chiefs preferred the younger prospects with upside rather than the older guys like Jermaine Johnson who will be 24 in December. I'm happy with the two picks tbh. Mcduffie looks like a Jaire Alexander/Marshon Lattimire type of corner to me so he should be exciting to watch. Meanwhile George looks like a Trey Hendrickson type of DE? Either way they were obviously positions of need and thankfully they have been addressed.
The WR we take should be interesting. Pickens, Watson, Moore, Pierce, Tolbert etc are there right now and one of them will most likely be the guy unless they wait to get Erik E with a later pick. |

I think we need a run on either LBs or RBs to get good value here.
I wanted 2 defensive players in the first round and we got 2 highly rated ones. In the 3 picks tomorrow I am hoping for a WR and 2 defensive players again. Only other position I can see is OT but I don't think there is much left. At 50 I think the best players available for us could be WR and DI. |

I think they should trade up to get Watson.
David Bell might be worth a shot in a later round. He didn’t test well, but he looks pretty fast and agile to me on film and put up huge numbers in the Big 10. |
