Mahomes signed a contract that was projected for twice as much as any player ever got. His gauranteed money ($141 million) was over half of what the NFL player who made the most money ever at the time (Drew Brees) has ever made

Still sold himself way short. Signed his life away for 10 years. For that commitment, he should have gotten at least $200 million guaranteed. MVP and Super Bowl in back to back years at the time of signing the contract. He only got a $10 million signing bonus, which is an absolute joke compared to what other QB's have been getting for many years.

He has to be kicking himself for not demanding more guaranteed cash, considering the more selfish behavior of guys like Tyreek & Orlando. Patrick's goal with the team-friendly deal was to keep guys like that on the roster.
