Yea, I'm going to go with the college tape, scouting notes, entire training camp reports from
multiple sources, along with all the clips we've all seen, over your stupid ****ing take based solely on 1 on 1s in a single practice.

If all you said was that McDuffie got beat a lot in 1 on 1s today, that's one thing, but your belief that what you saw today overrides everything we've seen from his college days to the rest of TC reports/clips speaks volumes about your pseudo expertise.

You are aware that I did not invent the notion that McDuffie is having struggles. This has been documented by people you don’t hate.

I haven't seen a single person suggest that McDuffie "isn't ready yet", because nobody is that stupid.

He's a rookie. There will be some ups and downs, and I don't doubt that he's been beat quite a bit too at camp, but your take reeks of bullshit unwarranted pessimism.

The majority of noise about McDuffie, especially as of late, has been overwhelmingly positive.

We've all also seen clips of him throughout TC. His coverage is almost always sticky, and he has 4 really nice PBUs the last 2 days.

But again, your evaluation based on 1 on 1s in a single practice is the gospel! You get to write the book of Trent McDuffie now!

There you go. There’s the exchange of information that characterizes a syllogism. Now we can have an actual discussion.

And, to what you’ve said, fair point. He’s made some plays, he made one today. But that doesn’t explain his performance today in both 1v1s and team drills, which was not remotely sticky. Williams and Sneed stick. McDuffie did not today, and it wasn’t close.

Now that’s fine if he’s lighting up PAC 12, but this is a new beast. He did not display recovery speed, a major problem. He gets boxed out and beaten to a spot. He’s grabby.

This doesn’t kill McDuffie in the crib, but those are going to be lingering issues that simply being a rookie will only partially repair.

I’m a big fan of drafting him and I like his skillset. But today’s practice was problematic to me.

It’s just practice. Remember Mahomes throwing tons of picks in TC the year he blew up?

Well again, that’s fine. I’ve been wrong about things every year. There was one year I thought Demetrius Harris was going to blow up.

I’m not interested in burying my head in the sand and pretending.

I'm willing to bet he said nothing that would indicate he "isn't ready yet".

Because again, that's a dumbass take that literally only you are capable of coming up with.

Also, love how the Chiefs have basically told James Palmer exactly what I was trying to tell you.

But you went to practice today, so you're the authority!

What exactly did he say there he isn't willing to write? He was willing to tweet out Reid was happy with McDuffie so...….

Saying dude is learning and has learned from when he has made mistakes isn't close to saying he is struggling in camp. Dude is a 1st round pick they moved up to get, if he was struggling it would be big news openly reported.

I heard the podcast as well. It was not said, but inferred during the podcast. Taylor intimated that during the indoor practice a high draft pick from the pac 10 got picked on and that player isn’t playing against pac10 level play any more. What worked in the pac 10 will not work now. That was after Wednesday’s practice.

I can imagine high times and low times for McD this year. He covers like a blanket, but he may get picked on by bigger receivers with high level qbs who throw over him.
