Henne and try and sneak Buechele back on the PS or send Henne off to retirement?

I could make a case for either. I’ll defer to the staff on that one.

I’d probably try to sneak Buechele back on the PS. I trust Henne more to win a game for us if needed.

I love how our defense looks. Not a lot of stars (for now), but there isn’t a player listed who I hate. I don’t see a single Niemann, Sorensen, Fleming, Scandrick, etc listed.

Love the upside of the 6 corners. The safety room has some bad asses. The linebackers are the best that we’ve seen in a long damn time.

The DL feels much better than it did a couple weeks ago. Dunlap signing is big. Karlaftis is that dude. Saunders has been great. Wharton and Nnadi look active. Jones is inside and dominant. Clark looks faster.

And 4 TEs. Have we ever carried 4 before?

Yup, and pretty sure we'll be doing it this year unless Bell is injured.

I don't think there's any chance we have 3 QBs and think it's like 80% Henne.

I think Lammons over Bootle more likely than not but unclear.

I have no clue on Coleman vs Fountain.

Ultimately I'm thinking Toub probably makes the decisions for these last roster spots and who knows where he stands.

It feels like a much deeper roster than we've had in years past but it could also be because we just knew how much someone like Neimann was a complete and total liability. Regardless, we got younger, faster, hungrier, and cheaper and there's real value in that.

Haven’t read this whole thread , but the running back group worries me more than the DL and that group was the biggest concern to me when camp started .

I'm also thinking Lammons over Bootle. Lammons had a nice game yesterday.

This Buechele thing has me intrigued. Do we think that he's getting playing time to ...

...consider whether he should be elevated to the #2 position?

or

...showcase him for a trade?

or

...give him developmental playing time because Henne doesn't need game experience?

or

...Buechele won a lunch bet and gets to play?

or

...something else?

I kind of half-wonder if Buechele could be our #2 QB to start the season.

I think it's because they wanted to give game 2 to him and game 3 to Henne so each player could have a fuller body of work given that it's a Sunday/Thursday game split. But we'll see how Thursday night goes.

Regardless I think the amount of words spilled on this discussion is a major waste of time. If Mahomes goes down, we're totally doomed. Moore and Henne have only really been competent as backups because of Tyreek Hill. That's just the reality. A full set of decent WRs won't make those guys passable QBs that get us near the postseason.

If not 3 QBs who would you keep on the roster instead? Gore?
