If they have any thought he's the future backup, he's our backup and Henne is gone.

DL is a much higher priority given that all of those guys are going to get some rotational playing time.

Fair point and maybe that’s why he has been getting so many snaps instead of Henne. seeing if he can be serviceable.

Yeah, that's the question in my mind. But it's also possible that Andy knows that Henne doesn't need the work and he's trying to help Buechele.

However, it seems to me that Buechele is playing well enough for consideration as the #2. My only worry is whether his arm is too weak for the starters on NFL defenses. A weaker arm can survive against the #2 and #3 defenses, but can he get it done against starters?

And obviously we all hope that we never have to find out.
