Yeah I don't understand the "meaningless September game" mentality either. Each game counts exactly as much as any other up until the division and home field advantage are wrapped up. If anything, it's an arrogant mentally that the Chiefs are simply better than ~29 other teams in the NFL (and not worse than any of them), so they could **** around in September and still have HFA in the AFCCG, much like that 6 week stretch last season.

And historically, the Patriots weren't great early in the season and would do just fine.

That said, I clicked on the quote you quoted and I saw mention of benching Mahomes? That's extreme.
