Generally true...but there was that WTF throw against the Bucs. He still does some silly stuff. Mecca is right that Allen will occasionally do similar things. Hopefully KC comes out on the more positive end of this exchange.

Patrick essentially played a perfect game against Buffalo in the playoffs last season. I don't remember any bad decisions by him in that one. He was very disciplined. Might need a similar performance to beat those guys again.

On paper it looks like a bad matchup for us.

Best deep passing team in the league vs the worst deep passing defense.

A revitalized HOF speed rusher vs tackles that struggle against speed.

A good secondary vs a WR corpse that has struggled to get open.

But it's the mother****ing Chiefs. These guys just....figure it out and get it done.

True but we need to play dime and force the Bills to run the ball. I don't know like us if they have the patience to do that.

Honestly Veach has done quite well given our draft spot. We are better simply from an addition by subtraction. Losing Sorensen, Neimann, Mathieu, and Hitchens is a plus. Give Karlaftis and McDuffie time and we might have both a dominant pass rusher and lockdown corner. This is not counting the improvement of Jaylen Watson and Sneed. Our LB core hasn’t been this good in a long time.

McDuffmeister to the rescue!

Btw, is Buffalo's secondary really that good right now? They're pretty banged up and haven't faced any elite passers yet (Stafford's clearly injured or something).

I know what you're saying...I just don't see it as a very common thing. On average, he probably makes a WTF decision about once a game. The pick vs Tampa was basically inconsequential. I highly doubt he takes that chance in a close game.

Losing Mathieu is not a plus. He was a dick but definitely still a good player his last season here.

Everything in this game is going to start and end with our OL. We need Trey Smith back for certain, but we also need our OTs to play a lot better to have a legit shot at stealing this game. which is the actual problem. If OBJ and Wylie can't at least hold their own most of the time, we're going to have trouble running and passing on schedule. I think we might see a lot more moving pockets, boots and PA in this one to mitigate the Bills DL advantage.

The secondary is what it is, which is to say it's a work in progress. They aren't going to put the brakes on BUF this weekend. They just haven't progressed to that point yet. So Allen and Diggs are going to light them up to a degree. Spags needs to gameplan to keep Diggs out of the EZ, imo. Diggs will probably get his yards between the 20s, but if Spags can keep him from scoring more than a couple TDs, that's probably a win for the defense.

But then I go back to the 3rd and 3 play against the Raiders. You need 3 yards, not 40 yards. It's a 1-point game. Get your first down in short yardage, control the ball and run out the clock to win a close game. Give the ball back to the opponent and you very well might lose the game, especially when the KC defense had struggled at various points of the game. Mahomes was lucky as hell that Carr & Raiders bailed him out with their own very stupid deep ball attempt on 4th and 1.

So the Bills are such a clear cut favorite that a win would be "stolen"?

They don’t have much of a TE threat. So whoever would normally be eyeing that position needs to focus on spying Allen to prevent the runs.
