So they could hold on to him, but he'd certainly leave in '24 for a chance to start somewhere. And as an UDFA I don't think they'd get anything much for him, expecially if he doesn't play at all in '23.

Or they could pick up a mid round pick and let him go.

That seems like a good move for them.
I'd guess they'd hold on to him with teh situation with Bahktiari being what it is and not wanting to leave themselves vulnerable.

Maybe, but moving Kelly from RT to LT was their second preference. Then he got hurt too, and so they played Nijman.

Now everyone's coming back healthy.

So it's not likely unless Bahktiari is unable to finish the season that Nijman will play.

You guys could be right, maybe they will just hold on to him one more year, but I don't think the comp for him leaving after '23 would be nearly as high as this offseason.
