Pushed to the brink?!

Cowherd summed it up best. Mahomes can close the deal in the clutch. When you are about to get your shit pushed in, Allen has shown he cannot. He looks superhuman against garbage opponents but when it comes to elite teams against QBs his equal or better, he can't close the deal. Even with a so called "superior" team. We will be here and see the same movie of the past couple of years.

Allen had the lead with 13 seconds left. Not his fault the Buffalo coaches and defense mishandled the ending of the game. Similar to when Mahomes had the lead against Tom Brady and Dee Ford bailed out Brady’s game ending INT, followed by the KC defense giving up too many yards & points the rest of the game.

Other than play defense, what more could have Allen done?

He took the lead with 13 seconds left…

He shoulda known better than to leave Mahomes 13 seconds.

Lol, Raiders left 17 seconds on the clock last week and the Chiefs turned that into points too.

You think we're playing when we say Mahomes is one of the greatest of all time?

he did everything he could do. 13 seconds for any other team is curtains.
Only Andy and Pat can beat you in 13 seconds.

Ultimately the defense (I've been told it was the DC's play-calling) that cost BUF that game.

The deep kickoff was a mistake as well. They should have been trying to force KC to burn clock on special teams, but I guess McDermott didn’t want to risk a strong return by the Chiefs.

He's not talking about that game. Allen has failed on the brink before. Last year at Bucs, Pat's at home and Jags. All those games he screwed up in the red zone and they lost. This year at Miami same ending. He was bailed out at Balt by a roughing call by the same weak ass ref that bailed out Brady.

Yeah, he might have just decided to ensure the Chiefs had to go at least 45 or so yards. Who knows? But for sure calling that defense for those last two plays was a bad mistake.

Nobody is perfect. Mahomes has had some rough finishes lately with the Bengals loss, Colts loss, and ugly wins against Chargers/Raiders. I wanted him to kill the Raiders on 3rd and 3 with a few minutes left. He went for a rather foolish deep shot and missed it. Just get the first down and keep the drive going! Raiders bailed him out with their own foolish deep shot on 4th and 1 at the very end of the game.

Which fanbase are we talking about? The ones who like to stick their fingers in each others' asses during games and drink booze out of each others' butts?

Agreed. Very bad coaching. Deserved the L.

That’s the first time (at least that I can remember), that i’ve ever seen someone question Allen’s redzone or clutch qualities. I thought everyone knew he is redzone amazingness.

He has 78 TD’s and 0 INT in the redzone in his career. Going into the 2021 swamp (since I don’t have the stars for last year) 25.6% of his career redzone passes have been touchdowns.
