I'm going to continue calling out this bullshit. Mahomes had 2 "possessions" that started with 37 seconds and 13 seconds left on the clock to end halftime and 4th quarter. Those are not legit full possessions. They are each a half-possession at best. When you account for that, it's 42 points on 10 possessions or 4.2 points per possession. That includes a missed field goal by the Chiefs kicker, which ain't the fault of the QB.

Buffalo had 36 points on 9 full possessions, or 4.0 points per possession. No missed field goals for Buffalo. Slight advantage for the KC offense, and I would argue Buffalo had the better defense in that game. They still have the better defense this year too.

Because he didn't. Two of the possessions for Mahomes were half of a possession at best. There is a reason everyone thought the game was over with 13 seconds left. 37 seconds left before halftime isn't much better, but Mahomes got them into FG position and the kicker missed the kick. Apparently those 2 possessions are a reason to criticize the QB?? Adjusting for the half-possession nonsense at halftime and end of 4th quarter...

I just rewatched the last few minutes of the 13 second game.

1. Holy shit. How did Mike Hughes win AFC Defensive Player of the Week once last year? He ****ing sucked.
2. I forgot how slow Hitchens was.
3. McKinnon was pretty effective in the passing game.
4. I’ll never forget how awesome Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill were together. I think that will be remember as one of the top few greatest QB, TE, WE trios ever.
