Gay's suspension was previously agreed upon between him and the league after he plead guilty to charges that qualify as DV, nothing random about it.

Frank reached a plea deal on his charges so the punishment was determined after the case was resolved and he admitted guilt in the plea by pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge. Again nothing random and in fact its good they waited for Gay to come back before punishing Clark and I think this was intentional.

If I were a betting man I would bet the team and Clark knew about this for a few weeks.

But didn't Willie Gay's thing have something to do with his toddler being present?
Not saying I agree or disagree with it, but I thought I read something about the law and the charges are more severe if a child is present.

While I don't disagree with any of this, I find it rather odd. Clark was obviously not a law abiding citizen, so it doesn't apply in this case. The first time he was riding with someone who was in violation of the law (albeit a dumb one IMO) and the second time he was the one pulled over.

As for the timing, I can't think of a better time for this to have happened outside of possibly at Denver and at Houston and this way the Chiefs have the bye week to prepare for it. I'm surprised it wasn't four games.
