NFL top defensive line rankings at mid season
1. 49ers
2. Bills
3 Titans
4. Chargers
6. Jaguars

The Chiefs have faced the 4 best offensive lines in their first 8 games. The Jags are number 6. After week 10, they will have played 6 out of 10 games against top 6 defensive lines. It's amazing that they have the number one offense yards and scoring against that schedule. And, not surprising, they have struggled to run the ball.

I hadn't thought about the Jacobs comparison. Etienne is more of a speed threat and not as physical/good at breaking tackles, to me.

He's a real threat, though.

Lawrence seems to struggle when he has to go off-script. He has turned it over in the red zone a lot. That seems like a bad matchup against a Steve Spagnuolo defense...

Not sure what's wrong with Mecole - it says he has a abdominal injury but not specially if it's a muscle strain or what.

Saunders was excused for non-football related personal reasons. I would imagine he'll be good to go provided those reasons don't linger and result in him missing more practice.

Yeah, when I used Jacobs as an example, I was mostly talking about his physical stature as a bigger back (he's not small, but he's not Derrick Henry either), he has good speed, but not a burner, and he can break some tackles. He can catch out of the backfield, but he's not CMC.

Except Etienne can be slowed down and contained with a pretty solid hit at the first of the game. If that happens then you get him looking around instead of just hitting the hole.

Lawrence has a tendency to get in his own head. If he misses receivers at the beginning of the game he tends to stay wild.

His running is good but Gay and Bolton could counter that issue.

Yeah, after reading your post I went and checked out a couple JAX highlight reels to get familiar a little bit. Then my buddy Scho asked "what should we look for out of JAX," or something to that effect, so I was just replying to him. Wasn't trying to steal your thunder or whatever.

The only real chance JAX has is if KC just shits the bed for most of the game. They can't go toe-to-toe with the Chiefs if KC is playing to their average. They have to hope the Chiefs play a terrible game from beginning to end. I don't see that happening, but of course, AGS.
