In retrospect, it's easy now to understand what is happening to the Bills. The focus of their entire season was on week 6 when they played the Chiefs. No other week mattered to them in any way like week 6. Once they won that game, it was like they won the Super Bowl, so they all relaxed. Their season might be totally f***** now as they struggle to find themselves again over the remaining games. I predict they fail to win the division.

They built their team to beat KC and they did. They have been the SB favorites all year. Heck the media dang near handed them the Lombardi before the season started. Allen was the runaway pick for MVP as well. As such they have become everyone’s SB (except KC). They are currently struggling with being the hunted as it’s unfamiliar territory for them. Plus the AFCE is far better than anyone thought so they don’t get to benefit from a weak division like the Pats did for almost 20 years. Will be interesting to see if they can overcome this, as they have the talent to do it.

Maybe you’ll end up being right, but let’s not forget the Chiefs we’re 5-4 at this time last year and still went to the AFCCG.

Bills have had the 2nd hardest schedule in the league so far (that’s not my opinion, that’s the official updated SOS). They faced the Chiefs, Vikings, Ravens, Dolphins, Titans and Jets. The Bills have the best strength of victory in the NFL too, while maintaining the highest point differential.

Chiefs have had hard opponents too, but they’ve also had more layups. Jags, Colts, Raiders, Bucs - those teams have a combined record of 14-24. The Bills layups have been the Steelers and Packers. Difference being that the Bills obliterated their layups and the Chiefs are barely beating a couple of their layups.

Barring injury, I have little doubt it’ll be Chiefs vs Bills in the end.

The Bills have played 3 games since the Chiefs. They didn't look all that good at home against the Packers, but they won that game. A win is a win, but the next two games on the road against the Jets and at home against the Vikings were games everyone expected the Bills to win. If the Bills team that played with such focus and determination against the Chiefs had shown up against all three of those opponents the Bills would have won easily. Conclusion? The Bills were clearly focused on the Chiefs and lost that focus and determination when they beat the Chiefs.

If you have a better view on why the Bills have looked so much worse since they played the Chiefs, I'm totally open to considering your explanation, but I seriously doubt you will come up with anything that explains the situation better. Whether my prediction is right or wrong, I don't really care that much. I'm just telling you what I see. If the Bills change things up in the coming weeks, I'll have no problem admitting that I was wrong.

You won’t get any argument from me. The Bills have sucked ass the past 2.5 weeks. Allen has looked like donkey poop.

But I guess i’m just not that worried about it because the Bills have shown they can beat the top teams (Chiefs, Ravens, Titans) when they want to.

Chiefs we’re 5-4 last year at this time. I never once thought they weren’t turning it around. Same with the Bills. Quite frankly, even the Bills losses have been impressive in the fact that they’re never overpowered. They lost the Dolphins by 2 points while having 9 starters out and all 3 losses have been by a combined 8 points.

I just ain’t worried.

You could finish 11-6.

I remember when the Oilers and Bills were playing in the AFC championship game and the Oilers were ahead 28-3 at halftime. They came out and scored early in the third quarter to lead 35-3. I'll bet the Oilers weren't too worried when Buffalo scored a td to cut the lead to 35-10, but when the Bills started piling on the points and coming back fast, the Oilers had already shut down emotionally thinking they had the game easily in hand. Then when they needed to turn it on again, it wasn't there for them.
