Florio and Co. talk about Chiefs vs Chargers - some good stuff in there

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...sion-protocol/

Don't care if this has already been posted in a mega thread.

Thought this was a good watch. Despite the hate that Florio gets around here, I like watching him talk about the Chiefs. He is definitely a fan of Mahomes, Kelce, and the how exciting are the Chiefs.

There is also a little bit about the culture and how the other players encouraged Skyye Moore, which I found very good to hear. I mean, sure we kind of already knew that but it is still nice to hear national commentators talking about it.

We may see the Chargers again. They can get 10 wins with thier shit schedule. Lose to Miami and Tenn but the test is crap.

I'm with you...give me a defensive coach, once Andy retires, with 1-2 good play makers on offense and Mahomes.....we would rape. That was the recipe for Brady in NE. He had a slot receiver and a TE and a great defense.

What if Nagy stayed on as OC/Asst HC - offense, ala Tom Moore, who stayed on as Peyton's OC throughout the entirety of the Jim Mora (PLAYOFFS!?)/Tony Dungy/Jim Caldwell eras, irrc??

I mean, Mahomes is ALWAYS gonna Mahomes.

Bob Dole must need a PM to remind him of the AFC Championship Game in January where it seriously appeared that Patrick didn't have an NFL Offensive Coordinator and what happened when the Bengals dropped 8 deep.

I think Mahomes would still win a ton of games, probably championships, if you give him a stronger defense & run game even if you lose Andy Reid's creative playcalling in the passing game. Just my 2 cents.
I'm 100% with you.

Yeah you could make the argument that Brady and Manning had defensive coaches in Belichick and Dungy and it's a good balance.

On the other hand, the problem with having a defensive coach is your offensive coordinators will get picked off to be head coaches. We may be seeing that in Buffalo right now where there's some questions if Allen and that offense is doing quite as good without Daboll. Not that they've cratered or anything but you definitely lose some continuity.
