The race for the #1 seed in the AFC
With Buffalo losing to NY today, if we beat Tennessee tonight we will be tied for 1st place in the AFC but Buffalo owns the head to head tiebreaker.

It’s going to be interesting to see the energy KC comes out with tonight.

So it looks extremely likely that Tyler Lockett is out against the Chiefs for next week. That could be huge as far as what Spags will do. Double Metcalf and pack the box I guess.

Know who else wouldn't be brimming with confidence? The Bengals and their fans. No way they'd feel very confident about coming out of Arrowhead with their 4th straight win vs Mahomes and second straight in the playoffs.

KC wasn't the 1 seed in 2019. Baltimore went 14-2 that year and then blew it in the divisional vs Tennessee.

Interested to see how it works out over the years if they don't keep tinkering with the format.

Something like 75-80% of 1 and 2 seeds have won the SB, so people assume it's the bye week that's so damn important.... my theory is there's just so little parity at the top, 2 seeds will have it just as easy of a time as they did before, outside of players staying healthy.

And you look at some of the awful 2 vs 7 games, like the Chiefs/Steelers scrimmage, and I can't really say playing the extra game mattered much.

When we won the Super Bowl we were the 2 seed. The 1 seeded Ravens went one and done

We are the last NFL #1 seed to make the Super Bowl though

I want the 1, but 2 may not be a terrible place to be either. As it stands now, NE would come to Arrowhead, and then the winner of Miami/Baltimore. The weather in Buffalo might be brutal, but both teams would have to deal with it.
