If I'm remembering correctly, there was another play where the Chiefs had Wilson in their grasp and it should have been blown dead, but wasn't and it allowed him to get rid of the ball.
Now imagine you let that play go, you flag Jones and you extend the drive for the Broncos....in Arrowhead. If they thought it was bad for Cheffers....

It was an 'interception' (I think from Bolton) that was reversed due to an illegal hands to the face penalty (I think on Williams).

And yeah, really bad job by the officials there. In the old world, I have no problem with them swallowing the whistle because it wasn't impossible that Wilson could've gotten out of there and some of the NFL's most exciting plays have started that way.

But in THIS era, with these silly RTP penalties, you just have to blow the whistle there. You can't let the play go UNLESS you're not gonna call RTP if these guys finish.

And we have no way of knowing if they will/won't until we blast a guy and take a potentially game altering penalty in the process.

Its the inconsistency between crews and even the internal inconsistency WITHIN crews that make this such a problem. The NFL has created a real problem here and they have nobody to blame but themselves for it.

(To be fair, we still have plenty of ref whiners around here, but that's a different story.)
It’s different because the refs actually do hate the Chiefs imo

Yeah...and that penalty they called on Williams was some bullshit as well. Suddenly the .25 second that Williams index finger touched his face mask was worthy of a penalty. Like that doesn't happen a billion times every other game.

I'm just glad that Chris Jones didn't use any harsh language when he tackled Wilson.

Jones had Wilson wrapped up.
And this is why the refs suck. Some call it quick and others let it go since so many qb's like Josh Allen escape 3 guys grabbing him.

This right here. He was completely wrapped up by Jones for what felt like an eternity. I kept waiting for the whistle. I was like wtf they were giving him extra time to wiggle out of it. It felt like Jones was waiting on whistle too and he probably was like no? Ok **** it.

Yeah, it was annoying. There were two plays like that where Wilson was clearly stopped in the grasp but flung the ball out and if the ball had been caught the Broncos fans would think it was a great play. So if Wilson is still allowed to throw the ball then Jones is still allowed to bring him to the ground.

Imagine KC losing 15 in a row to a division rival, with that 15th win being in a game that you felt was officiated in favor of your opponent. Pretty sure you wouldn’t care about draft position at all.

And if it wasn't called we still win the game because we are the Chiefs and they are the Donks...
