The impact on FF from the Bengals/Bills game

What are you guys doing in your leagues?

Honestly, the only solution I can come up with is giving the team that was winning the "W" while splitting the pot (assuming the game isn't played).

Unless of course the game was essentially over, and the remaining players wouldn't have made a difference.

I'm seeing a lot of nonsensical solutions like counting the Bengals/Bills players week 18 points for week 17, splitting the pot based on % chance the win (projected points), etc.

It's unfortunate, and there are no perfect solutions, but I think this is the most logical/fair way to handle it.

Wait until the NFL makes a decision and go from there. It’s not like fantasy football decisions need to be hurried.

That sucks for the dude that was down by 1, but the commish should also move on.

Once people start trying to come up with other solutions, it gets VERY wacky IMO.

Oh I don't think anything should be final, but this is just a "how should we handle this if the game isn't played" conversation.

But yea, nothing should be finalized until we know for sure what's going to happen.

I had Burrow, Diggs and Bass being down only 3 points with 3 quarters left and the other guy had nothing more. I didn’t mean to bitch about it but I’m not splitting my money with someone who wasn’t going to win no matter what. Still waiting on the decision, but nobody is going to sit there with a straight face and say that I wouldn’t be the winner. Money is tight after property taxes and Christmas, not looking to lose money on something I couldn’t control. If you want to give part of my money somewhere put it in his toy drive and not in the pocket of a six figure earner.

Any commissioner who wouldn't give you the money in this situation (or any opponent who wouldn't accept the loss) isn't worth playing with anyway IMO.

This is a situation where common sense should prevail, but that isn't always the case.

I say that’s fair. Split the winnings for each final.

For the record I’m in this league and playing for the championship. I was winning by 1 pt going into last nights game. I had Mixon and he had Tyler Bass.

I was lucky enough to had been up 5 going into MNF, where my opponent was done Sunday, and I had burrow.

I benched burrow just to make sure I didn’t lose by a fluke 3 INT game and then injury

My league championship, therefore, wasn’t impacted

Our games were pretty much settled other than a couple extremely unlikely scenarios. I'm thinking of just giving the Bills and Bengals players their projected points. Or just ending it where it ended.

Glad to hear you're on board. I don't think anyone else will have issue with it. I emailed the league a bit ago.

Scheduling any fantasy games past week 15 or 16 is just asking for trouble.

Only since 92', when you had to keep score off of box scores in the newspaper.

Players sit often when the playoffs are set. I thought this was a well-known thing.

I've played in a bunch of leagues and the latest one went to week 16 (back on the old 17 week schedule).

In my dynasty league championship, 1 team has Josh Allen, and is down 1.6 points to a team that has Joe Burrow. Obviously the guy with Burrow was in the lead when the game was stopped, but the rolled back points to zero today on MFL's site so he's back to being behind. There is $1800 on the line. The commish is proposing to just give each team the points that the players get in Week 18. Glad I'm not commish for this one.
