Yeah, superficially it looks like a pretty good mess in LA. But I doubt McVay would be coming back if they didn't have some kind of plan for dealing with the cap and somehow trading for at least a couple higher round picks. They've got something up their sleeve.

That and Stafford. He's $49m in dead cap to cut.

I had heard rumors that his injury was serious enough to consider retiring. That would be best case for the Rams, honestly. Unless someone wants to trade for him and that big-assed contract, maybe. WAIT-actually, he's only due $20m. That's not bad. Moving Stafford might be a real possibility for them and would help their cap situation, although they'd have to find a QB.

Not really sure they can do a lot. The biggest problem is a lot of their high dollar guys were injured and/or under performed. Do not see a lot of them going anywhere. (Ramsey, Donald, Stafford, Kupp, Robinson) Can see Donald, Kupp coming back. Ramsey and Robinson are probably shot. Stafford is decent but not great.

Donald almost retired last year. If he retires and they can trade Stafford, they could get out of cap hell right there. Bring back Mayfield on a cheap deal and they could be okay.
