What is Trevor Lawrence worth?

I think this kid is the next "generational" QB along with Mahomes....albeit different playing styles. I really hope he gets drafted to the NFC.

His highlight reel...in which he's a freshman, is pretty fantastic. To play like that, a year removed from high school,...yikes.

What is he worth in draft capital?...hypothetically, if the #1 (drafting) team just chose a top QB the year before?

Two entire drafts? 3-4 first round picks?

What would Mahomes go for...if teams knew he was a 50 TD QB?

A generational QB can define your franchise....for like 15 years.

I said when they hired Pederson that was a great hire, and that if Doug couldn't get anything out of Lawrence, it was a lost cause.

Dude won a SB with Nick ****ing Foles. and he was the MVP!

Lawrence could've, should've most people would've collapsed into a shell after four first half picks.

But he didn't wilt. That's mental toughness.

KC should beat them next week if that's our draw, but they'll be a problem moving forward. They're definitely on the right track.

Yeah couldn't agree more, and I think it would've been fair to have written off Lawrence if Pederson didn't make it work, as you say. I think he's got a way to go still, I mean 4 INTs, but yeah he's got some grit no doubt

I said this in the game thread but I'll say it again here-
I'm not saying Lawrence played well in the first half, he clearly did NOT. However:

1 INT was a batted ball. 1 INT was clear DPI where he threw the receiver out of the way and grabbed it, 1 INT was a spectacular diving grab. Only 1 INT was a flat bad decision.

Still, when things are going that badly, it would've been human nature to want to crawl in a hole, and Lawrence and the Jags did not.

Pretty impressive, really.

Wrong again.

Just because you got sold by some talking heads on Lawrence as "generational".

I got a lot of heat for saying this 2 months before that draft.

Turns out several NFL mgmt, execs saw it the same way.

NFL.com's Tom Pelissero spoke to multiple NFL coaches and had them break down the deep, talented 2021 quarterback class. An anonymous AFC quarterbacks coach said of Lawrence, per Pelissero:

"If you didn't take him and you're Jacksonville, and it turned out that he was a perennial Pro Bowler, then you'll never live it down. They have to take him. I think the intangibles are there. He can throw the ball. But he does not have unique, rare playmaking ability. If I'm comparing last year to this year, Joe Burrow is picked over Trevor Lawrence 100 times out of 100."

I don’t understand the idea that because he doesn’t have generational abilities that means he isn’t anything special. There is nothing generational about Brady or Brees physically. Lawrence is a prototypical qb in that there’s not really a knock on his physical abilities. He’s got good size, arm strength and athleticism.

What I see in Trevor most though is the “it factor” you don’t see in many QBs like Herbert who find ways to lose. He was completely cool in the face of adversity.

It’s weird to use this season and that playoff game behind an average roster to knock the kid down. And that’s a pretty good legacy if he can become a very good game manager which I think is his upside.

Please don't put Trevor in a conversation with Brees, Brady.

Both had elite vision, processing and anticipation.

Trevor doesn't have those traits.
