I think there were a few bad calls both ways that probably evened out. I just didn’t love our last shot. I get it Grill is from Kansas, had a ton of friends and family in the stands, and wanted to make the heroic shot at the end. He should have either passed it to Gabe to shoot, or actually put in the effort to make the game winner. The acting like you got fouled while shooting without getting touched was stupid. I mean I get it on one hand it’s a “smart play” and he probably would have made two if not three free throws… buuut the contact he was expecting didn’t come.

I knew Iowa State “could” win this game, but it’s not a bet I would make at Phog. Iowa State covering is always the safer bet in this game.

Took our boys (10,12) to their first game. Other than as toddlers which they don’t recall. Wanted it to be a conf sat game with the daylight thru the windows and a good matchup so they could get the whole Phog experience and it didn’t disappoint

Paid 700 for the four-banger, halfway up the corner. Used to get freebies from my network all the time but haven’t in a while. When we got back I had a text from my bother saying he had 4 to give me next weekend

My first game in the Phog as kid was against Princeton in 1999.

I’ll rep the first person to name a notable person from that Princeton squad. Hint: not famous for basketball.
