I still don't buy it.

The league is filled with guys who grew up in and went to college in California, Florida, Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, etc. who never struggled in cold weather NFL games.

It really doesn't seem like things like cold weather and high altitude effect players they way they used to. I think science, better cold weather gear and modern conditioning has negated them to a certain extent. Can't remember the last time I saw a visiting team fall apart in the 4th quarter in Denver because they were gassed, for example. As we all know too well, that happened frequently in the past. Seemed like those ****ers always got a couple of home wins that they otherwise wouldn't have because of it. Just doesn't seem to be a factor anymore. Even crowd noise doesn't seem to bother visiting teams like it once did.

It's not like Lawrence is going to be standing around shivering for three plus hours this weekend. We should beat them because we're better, not because they're cold.

There are players who do struggle to adapt to cold weather... Tua for example.

It's not every player, but considering this will be Trevor Lawrence's first snow game in the highest of pressure situations... an NFL playoff game... it will be interesting to see how it affects his play.

Marcus Mariota grew up in Hawaii and beat us in the second coldest game ever at Arrowhead. I’m not holding out much hope for the weather.

To be fair, he had a lot of help from pure shit luck and that hellspawn prick Tripplett.

We've been boned on a ton of bad calls over the years, but that forward progress bullshit has to be the worst.

Are you referring to the regular season game?

I think that’s the one where Reid tried to ice Succop on a 50+ yard field goal.

The first (timeout) attempt fell like 5 yards short. Then he drilled the second attempt.

Yup. I had so many layers on for that game. It was a real beauty.

And it doesn't have to be the QB that has the problems. I remember a game where the C was having issues snapping the ball in shotgun; he kept worm-burning it across the snow or over-compensating and snapping it almost over the QB's head, which resulted in the OC pretty much eliminating shotgun plays from the game.

Or a WR that has trouble catching/holding onto the ball in cold/wet weather, which is more common.
