I don't think it was illegal.
I do think it was dirty. It's the kind of borderline play that's technically within the rules, but you sure don't mind seeing that guy get launched into the stratosphere next time he's around the football. Key took another run at Henne in that game as well. I believe it was a shot to the head after the throw was out. Frankly I wish we'd have run a little it of a high/low on the guy or run Smith on a pull right at him just to give him a few bruises for his troubles. You can't let a guy play on the edge like that for an entire game.
