Cincinnati is a shithole

Aside from 1 fluke super bowl appearance last year they've been one of the more shittier franchises in all of sports.

Their premiere food is ****ing Spaghetti I learned how to make that shit in grade school. Your a **** hair away from Kentucky and your tailgating area is literally right under an overpass What a dump of a city

There is no redeeming value to Cincinnati… none.

More reason for the Chiefs to curb stomp their mouthy team with an empty Lombardi trophy case and to return their bandwagoning fanbase to the grim reality that they live in the world’s asshole.

Okay, here's the list in that first link.

1. The city of seven hills. No, that's Rome.
2. German heritage. You're thinking of Germany, not Cincinnati.
3. A kaleidoscope of neighborhoods. Confusing neighborhood design is not a selling point. And anyway, that's San Francisco.
4. Architecture. No, that's Paris.
5. Flying pigs. I'll give you that one.
6. Cincinnati chili. Yeah, and Milwaukee is famous for Jeffrey Dahmer.
7. Cincinnati Reds. Communism is not a bragging point.
8. Cincinnati Bengals. I'll take "Teams that have never won a Super Bowl for $1,000, Alex." Daily double!
9. FC Cincinnati. This is a soccer team. A soccer team. Come on.
10. Historical museums. Once again, this is Paris.
11. Art Museums. I'm starting to think this is a Paris list. Does Paris have flying pigs?
12. Street art and murals. This is gang graffiti.
13. Fiona the hippo. It's the Ohio River, not the Ohippo River. Hippos are from Africa.
14. Craft Brewery Scene. This is Denver.
15. Graeter's Ice Cream. It's an ice cream shop. I have four of those within walking distance of my house.

All I'm seeing here is a flying pig symbolism, which actually kind of fits the theme of Cincinnati's chances of ever winning a Super Bowl.

He posts another article touting Huntsville ****ing Alabama as this country’s greatest city!!! What an absolute dunce.

By the way, I used to go to Cincinnati for work four to six times a year. There are a couple kinda cool neighborhoods there and Sotto is an objectively good Italian restaurant. But Kansas City is a far superior city in just about every way.

It's funny how wildly different all of those "best cities" lists are, depending on what factors are used and whether the people making the lists have any idea of how to do demographic analysis.

I pretty much just check to see if Denver is at the top of list, and if it's not the methodology is flawed.

As a native Kansas Citian, I'm favorably inclined toward all the midwestern cities. Cincinnati has at least two things that they do about as good as anywhere else in the world. One is their big marathon weekend, the Flying Pig. The race support is first-class and the crowds are awesome, which makes all of the Flying Pig weekend races well-loved. I ran there last year, my first-ever marathon, and I'm looking forward to returning there this year for the 25th anniversary edition of the Flying Pig.
Another great institution is Cincinnati Children's Hospital. They treat kids from all over and the discoveries they help make benefit all of our kids.
I've only been to Cincinnati twice and haven't attended any football or baseball games there, but I would bet the folks there are like folks throughout the Midwest in being friendly to respectful visiting sports fans.

Cincinnati is a baseball town. Even when their baseball team is terrible. They are basically what rams fans were in at Louis. Just annoying because their allegiance is based on wearing the colors and shouting “who Dey.” But most of them can’t name the back half of their starting lineup. They get real excited when the season starts and then abandon ship. Then they show up once they know their team is good. I mean their attendance increased by 47% over 2019. The media paints that as some kind of turnaround. Instead of asking “how the **** could any major sports team average 47k?” That is insane. I’ve been to the city many times including nfl Sunday during the ochocinco years and even when they were good the sports environment was sterile until the playoff push.

While they are technically Midwest the afc north is a different animal when it comes to their fans. They have a lot more of that industrial grit. Steelers and browns have tough and passionate fans. Nice fans but they’ll give you a tough time if you’re wearing the wrong colors. Ravens are basically northeast fans. Cincy fans are wannabes. But talk to any afc north fan and you’ll see they’re universally annoyed by cincy fans for the same reason. It’s hard to take shit from fans who just got into the team two years ago. It’s hard to talk shit to fans who can so easily switch the team off when they aren’t a powerhouse. Losing feels really really personal to me which is why fairweather fans are just harder to stomach for me.
