It's also a desperate and self-defeating argument too, especially given that LeBron has broken or is on the verge of breaking every statistical record in the history of basketball and that MJ doesn't even have the most titles (that would be Bill Russell). Granted, it's all the MJ backers have left so they're obviously going to cling to it as long as they can. I'd also point out that LeBron could get to six titles if he so chose as well in the coming years. He's 38 years old and still averaging 30-9-7 as a top 5-10 player in the game. We're looking at the kind of quality at that age that has never been seen before in this league. Given what he looks like right now, it's not a huge leap at all to say he could continue to play in the NBA for well over a half decade more and certainly as a role player for a contender. If/when he leaves the disaster that is the Lakers in the next year or two, it's also a fair bet that he's going to go play with a #1 option who is even better than him. And LeBron as a #2 or #3 option on a team with a Giannis/Steph/Luka type as the star? Look out. Now I think LeBron is pretty comfortable at this point with his place in the game's history, but MJ's titles number will clearly fall too in time if LeBron wants it to. |

![]() Brady couldn't do one thing on the football field even close to as well as Patrick Mahomes and yet faulty rings logic for some is going to keep him above a clearly better player for the rest of his life. Make it make sense. |

I question whether anyone who believes LBJ is better than MJ actually saw MJ play outside of Youtube videos.

Wait, are we going to start acting like Lebron has failed to win championships because he doesn't 'want' to?

Also, what organization in their right mind is going to bring in Lebron knowing Klutch is right behind him waiting to blow up the long term prospects of the team to make some shitty ****ing trade for a Westbrook or Irving.

That isn't what I said. I said LeBron could easily break that record NOW if he chose to. Look at him right now, the guy is going to play at a decent level in this league until he's 45 years old. In all likelihood, he's going to spend those remaining years on championship contenders, not wasting away with an already out-of-shape and past-his-prime AD and other various scrubs on the LA Lakers. The rings argument (as faulty as it is) will fall away like all the others in time if he wills it. It's very obvious.

Again, who is bringing him in? You can pretend that Lebron had nothing to do with the current state the Lakers roster is in all you want but anyone with half a brain knows that's not the case.

What organization is going to want to bring in LeBron James to be their #2 on a championship contender? Uh, maybe all of them?

You did just see Mark Cuban trading for the colossal headache that is Kyrie Irving a couple of days ago right?
