We wear the black hat now, fellas...

I'm disinclined to argue with any of these schmucks over the holding call that was a hold.

The bottom line is that WE have the black hat now. We're the villains. This is the kind of mess we're going to hear about every time this team succeeds.

ENJOY IT! Embrace it. Revel in it and **** the rest of 'em.

"Never forget what you are - wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you."

This is gonna be a blast, fellas. Every bit of annoying talking head bullshit we've seen for 4 years is going to be amplified. Every single time we lose it will be because X quarterback is the best in the league or Y team has finally come to knock the Chiefs off their perch.

This is the role we've always wanted to play so why fight it now that we have it? This is it. When the league folds and the only evidence it ever existed is Profootballreference and a pack of geriatric assholes with giant hogs and goatees on some rusty old website called ChiefsPlanet, the history will be written and this will be the golden age of Chiefs football. Don't apologize for a bit of it.

Because this shit is awesome.

It's been mentioned before, but NFL fans (specifically AFC fans) are finally escaping 20 years of Patriots dominance, and are finally thinking there's going to be some variety and that their team might get a chance to get to the Super Bowl.

So when the Chiefs lost to the Patriots in the AFCCG, then won the next years' Super Bowl, it had all the trimmings of a feel-good story. The Chiefs overcoming the heartbreaking loss to win it all, first SB win in 50 years for the Chiefs, Andy Reid's first ring, Mahomes the up-and-comer getting a ring, etc. The NFL world was pretty happy with that first win.

The problem however, is they expected that crown to be shared over the years by other AFC teams and other feel good stories. Instead, the Chiefs are dominating the AFC the same way the Patriots did, and the NFL world hates them for this.

It just comes with the territory, guys. Any team that dominates for an extended period of time WILL be hated because they're sick and tired of seeing the same team over and over again.

So far every time someone at work has bitched about the "hold" I say what about the 6 points they took from bolton or the obvious hold JJSS didnt get to force a punt? And they shut up.

But **** yeah! We are the evil empire! Pats fans are squirmy af as it sets in that Mahomes is already nipping at Brady's heels.

Facts are that the Chiefs have now inherited the Patriots mantle of border line calls by the refs at the best time for them. Refs ignored dozens of passing plays with similar "holding" in the game only to call one at the end which coincidentally allowed KC to run off the clock.

Enjoy fellas. You've certainly been on the wrong end of these kinds of calls for decades.

Didn't hurt that the NFL turned the field into a skating rink with all the stupid paint all over the damn field. Y'all figured it out and made the plays to win.

I think they sit back and bitch about all things Chiefs because we know we're coming for them and their records.

I don't know if it's a northeasterner thing or what, but those guys HATE us and what we represent. And it absolutely festers in their black little hearts.

So **** them, too...

Oh yeah...they're bitching because they can see their "Greatest Ever" label slowly starting to wither away. Imagine the hate if Mahomes passes Brady for rings. He's already being talked about as being better than Brady (because he is)...and they ****ing hate every second of it.

That's just not what history says will happen.

history says that every decade has a dynasty. The Pats had 2 separate and distinct dynasties, but in any given decade there's a team that won 3-4 rings.

We're gonna be that team. If the rest of the NFL thought the league was just gonna turn into some merry go round of championships, they haven't paid enough attention.

The crying about the holding call is pretty stupid when Bradberry himself acknowledged that it was a legitimate penalty.

I gotta disagree on the black hat symbolism.

White hat! Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes would only ever wear a white hat. I'll take that route.
