I think the name is not offensive but it is bad and lame. I think a name change would be great but it is not a hill I really care to die on and watching people overreact to simply asking the question is always funny. Too bad Sacramento owns the trademark of the Kansas City Kings.

Chiefs is 100 times better and with stronger brand equity than that weak soccer shit.

One of the strongest rebrands in American sports. The team's worth, popularity, success...there is not a single metric that SKC did not exceed astonishingly by that name change.

If your big point is that an NFL team is a stronger brand than an MLS team that plays in a league that started in 1996 then...go on with those hot takes.

Football is impressive in how well they have done making sure their fans are in tip top shape especially in Kansas City. Maybe someday I will be "accepted in to that club" or whatever it is you seem to be going on about.

I don't think they should. I think they should tweak it some. Remove the arrowhead, replace it with a shield aka fire fighter chief shield. Replace the drum with a giant gong aka fire station bell. My two issues with the chop:

1. It's unoriginal (stolen from Florida State via Atlanta). We should come up with something of our own. (No, I have no idea what it could be. I mean, I can come up with some, but they'd be NSFW )

2. Watching a stadium full of people flailing their arms comically off-rhythm is painful for me as a drummer. Makes my eyes twitch. Seriously. People just suck at it.

This...I would hate to see a name change...but wonder if just removing this copycat motion stolen from FSU and the Braves would calm things down a bit.

Also, when will Minnesota start getting crap for disrespecting our nordic immigrants? Ban the Vikings!
