![]() ![]() Nate Taylor writing bs trying to get a player overpaid. Brown had so much chipping and help for a guy playing on the tag. He simply is not worth a big ass contract.

Nate Taylor’s always a homer. It’s what happens when you talk to these guys day in and day out. Probably hard to walk in and look them in the eye after writing “potato sack with long arms, left tackle, Orlando Brown”

Eek. That would mean almost 50 million for the left tackle and left guard. Thanks, but no thanks.
Surely we can find more valuable option that can be effective for one year while we draft and develop a day one or 2 pick. |

Maybe we can get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him. That will do.

Tag him and move on after 2023. Saves a boat load of money. Allows to keep other talent.
I can see Patrick doing more restructuring to keep top talent. We will keep getting better, younger and not kill our cap for the next 4-5 years. We are in an incredible position. Thank you Mr. Veach.

$18 million is cheap compared to what he's wanting. Nice.

Curious question.
Do we still think OBJ is average? Or did his performance in the playoffs change that? I think paying an average LT elite money is an easy way to tank us and our cap. But is he now considered elite after the playoffs/SB? Do you think he'll continue this upward trend throughout his contract? Idk, you most likely don't get something in the draft that's an immediate replacement for OBJ, but at the same time, can we really afford to give this guy a bag when we're STILL not sure if he's worth it? |

If we're going to spend big money on the O-line I'd rather save it for Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith. I'd much rather lose OBJ than either of those two.

Paris Campbell, Broderick Jones and Anton Harrison can all come in and start at left tackle from day 1. He would be playing next to Creed and Thuney the best C, LG combo in the league. You can't reach on OBJ and make him the richest offensive lineman ever he has not earned that. Use some draft capital and go get your franchise left tackle. Use that money to build Mahomes and Reid a top 5 defense.
