Potential Trade targets

Since the Chiefs have 11 picks and some possible holes they could fill. The WR free agent market looks weak not sure they will spend big on a DE.

Some names that come to mind: Jerry Hughes. Fits the mold of a player a at a position Veach has made moves for in the past (Ogbah, Ingram)

Brandon Cooks- I read that if the Texans trade him post June 1st the cap hit goes down significantly. He would work well in this offense IMO

Laviska Shenault Jr.- Was a guy I know the board talked about last off season. He was moved to Carolina for peanuts. They are rebuilding and it looks like he has 1 year left on his deal.

What do ya'll got?

Hard to believe we'd take ~24 players in 2 years.

I think we trade one of those 4th rounders and maybe our 6th or a 7th to move up ~10 spots in the 2nd round and target a key player of interest.

Smart Cap moves would be OT in the first, then we move up in the 2nd for Spags choice of the remaining Edge Rushers in the back half of the 2nd round.

OT Harrison, Jones, Wright or Jones
ED Carter, Ojulari, Harrison, McDonald, Hall, Tuipuloto, or Adebaware

That's a pretty solid start.

nobody wants the last pick. It's highly doubtful we can move up much at all, unless some team just thinks there aren't any true #1s left.

When they have enough of them to ever string together a pattern, sure.

Baylor has a long-time history of producing terrible WRs that get over-drafted.

Why not? Potential for 5th year of control as opposed to first pick in round 2.

He was good at Baylor with (Not counting freshman year) 37 games, 186 catches, 2,925 yards, and 28 TDs.

His Jets career has not been kind. Injuries, dropped catches, and only 15 starts, 30 games, in 3 seasons in New York. I'm sure one issue has been New York Jets QB play.

Could Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs fix him? Maybe worth a low-cost trade attempt.
No. And not that he is useless but I just never saw the upside, even in his draft year.
