Lots of buzz, the Athletic, ESPN, RGR etc. about the Chiefs have decided to give Jones his money. As long as the market doesn’t change on them like the WR market did last year.

Does he want Donald type of money?

He want to be the 2nd highest paid DT.

So like $30M.

I think he could be shopped by the team at that number. Stars and scrubs doesn’t work well.

Great plan. Hopefully with the picks they get, they can find someone who plays like and can put up Chris Jones numbers.

Well if they could find somebody to put up 3/4 of Chis Jones numbers under a rookie contract...

...that would be an incredible win.

Although I hope they find a way to keep him without having to lose too many other key players.

Jones is the best DT in the league. It will be very hard to find anyone even close to him....especially at 31. Pay the man and move on. I'd give him 3/100 easily. Him and Snead need to be extended.

You get the money by not paying OBJ and getting your rookie there.

Again, they can sign both Jones and OBJ. They don't really need to sacrifice one for the other.

Snead is gonna be another 13-15M or so as well. Can't lose him.
