Nate Taylor: Chiefs expected to franchise OBJ again [not happening]

Were you really that confident midway through the season with Brown and Wylie as the starters?

At this point, Brett Veach has proven he will not panic or overpay to keep a player, and he will always have a plan B lined up. They must like what they're seeing in their plan B enough to not give Brown a record breaking deal, and that's why we'll keep playing in Super Bowls while everyone else overpays for the talent we let leave. This a bit scary, but also exciting. I'm stoked to see what they have up their sleeves.

I'd add Isaiah Wynn into that. Shown some flashes in NE but has been up and down with some injuries.

Probably come fairly cheap and can play both LT and RT.

Been saying this all season in the OBJ thread - there's nothing fun about NOT having OBJ at LT next season. Sure, it could work out amazingly well - it could also blow up biggly.

It's risky as all hell, man. It's gonna be white-knuckle, to be sure.

The reality is here for a group of folks that were all "Anyone but Brown!!" pretty much all season. Well - we'll see how things go.
