Okay guys.. You all know my connections, and this comes directly from Jeff Hawkins in KC:

Not a Heart Attack. Apparently a blessing in disguise.. Self felt some discomfort and didn’t feel well. He went to the hospital (non emergency), and because he was being cautious, they found a blockage that could have caused a Heart Attack down the road.

Some of you Phoggies may have had a similar situation. Please let us know what your experience was with this sort of thing.

As far as the effect taht this will have on the court: We have great veteran leadership and we started this season with Norm coaching us. I still think that we could win the B12 Tournament and the whole F’n thing with Norm on the sidelines. That’s the leadership that Bill has developed in our players.

I don't post on this forum so I can't verify this guy's track record or "connections," but this is something a little different and more positive than what has been reported so far.

They should. Would be a great excuse to not have to play a meaningless game and get more rest. No playing any games vs potentially playing 3 games in a row would be best way to get recovered for the NCAA Tournament. You are locked into the #1 seed. There is no reason to play in this game.

As of today, Lunardi has them as the overall #1. A loss to WV in the first round would basically kill any chance of playing near home in the Dance. Far from meaningless. Not to mention that there are fans traveling to see this game who invested a lot of money and time.

That may be a .005% advantage. Losing Harris, Dick, Wilson or McCullar due to a 3 gamw rigorous tournament would be a 25% disadvantage. The risk reward is poor.

Almost no team except for ku can afford to do it. Take advantage of the position the guys have put themselves in due to great play over a long season

Says the human black hole shooting 34% FG and 27% 3FG with a 1:1 ast/to rate while getting to the line less than 2 FTA per 40 min.

He actually does look exciting when hes in since hes so quick and athletic. But the problem is the ball simple just doesn't go into the hole like Dicks do.

Oh he's terrible. This game is likely to end in disaster if he's playing big minutes (and without McCullar, there's little choice given what a turnover machine Pettiford is).

Yes Im hopeful Pettiford can improve on his TO rate but at least hes an efficient scorer. I feel like Pettiford is fixable and he can pass, at least.

He might want to also learn to shoot somewhat if he wants to be a guard in the NCAA.
