Everyone wants to "draft and develop, they're cheap" then freak out when they do it.

They've got a first round WR and a 2nd round WR on rookie deals. Time for them to shit or get off the pot

Am I the only one that really doesn't particularly want D-Hop or OBJ and would just rather have Marquez Callaway, a draft pick, and do as O.City just said and let our young 1st and 2nd round guys play ball?

No, there are plenty of people now convinced Mahomes doesn't need top weapons.

I'm fine with that as well.

It's just not something I'm worried about, becuase the Chiefs clearly understand the importance of surrounding Pat with weapons.

He doesn't need top weapons. He's proven that. It's not about getting a bonafide WR1 like people are obsessed with.

Just get a young talented group together and things will sort themselves out.

They've got a first round pick at Wr, a 2nd round pick at WR and a 10 million dollar plus player there.

I'm fine with an OBJ or HOpkins deal, but you also can't really say the whole "there's no weapons" there thing.

I feel like the Chiefs haven't made a big move for a WR because they don't need to make a big move for a WR. They have their top 3 guys in MVS, Toney, and Moore and a promising young guy in Ross. All they really need is another depth guy and maybe add another youngster to the pipe. I dunno, all this talk about Hop and OBJ has me twisted. It's kind of like yah, nice but at the end of the day you're not letting your young guys grow either.

On the flip side, I don't think they can have another season like they just did from the WR group. They need more production from it this year.

Who's to say they can't?

The defense will be even better.

The idea is that the young guys are gelling and you've got a better group come the stretch run.

Ross had a great year at Clemson as a rookie with tons of talent around him then just plateaued. Some of that is injury for sure, but he hasn't really been a good FB player for 5 years.

If he ends up being something here, it's more outlier than norm.

I'm all for adding one of those guys, but I don't think it's a make or break thing either.

They will draft somebody early either way. The group will be full of young talent, and they'll learn and grow throughout the season.
